Thousands of readers can be wrong

A Dreamer, a Photographer, a Musician, a Webdesigner... sometimes a Java coder too: I am Niccolò Favari and this blog is about New Media, Creativity, Business, Communication, Entrepreneurship and lots more. Boring stuff indeed, because I am a very boring dude.

Well, what's the point? I have no point. I just keep writing. And it feels good.

Survivalism Multitrack Session available for free from NIN

On the official Nine Inch Nails website you can download the whole Survivalism Multitrack Session. This song is the first single from the new album, Year Zero. It’s a simple zip archive and I could extract it with my windows machine and use the files contained in it with Adobe Audition. Anyway you can import those tracks in iTunes and then convert them in Wave (or mp3) files and use them wherever you want to (just as long as you don’t sell the resulting work).

You can edit, remix, deconstruct and reconstruct the whole song… and soon you’ll be able to do it with the whole album. Nine Inch Nails plan indeed to release the entire Year Zero album in multitrack session files. Sounds pretty cool to me.

This will give people a small insight into how songs are made (or at least what they are made of). You can also use these tracks to train your ear: I can now recognize every single loop in Survivalism.
