Thanks to theInquirer for this nice article about Cyber Slackers
A new study into cyberslacking indicates that it is not the quiet ones, or even the most open minded types which are more distracted by the Interweb, but extroverts.
There are times when I find myself literally wasting hours searching the web for nothing… or simply trying to find new chat friends to waste time with (then there are times when I can barely turn on the PC… and these times around are of that kind). I feel like if the internet is for the Extrovert Slacker a super-powerful tool to waste time in a cool and pleasing way.
People who were more open to experience were more likely to use the internet as a valuable tool for information/leisure searches to satisfy their widespread interest and need for stimulation, rather than for personal uses.
That’s better than wasting time playing space invaders for sure…
Anyway one of my new year resolution was (is)
“stop wasting time surfing the net”
and here you are with one another
“get the job done”
This will require a great self-control and a great willpower. Otherwise I’ll start wasting my time reading the Wikipedia (at least the game will be worth the candle).
