SuprGlu – Piecing Your Web Together

There’s a new service out there that promises to glue your internet life’s pieces together. It’s called SuprGlu… and it’s cool.

SuprGlu

It’s a feed aggregator. Yes dudes but wait… it’s more than that: you can aggregate feeds from other sites you’re subscribed to… like del.icio.us, flickr, blogger and any other service that has feeds. And you can publish the whole “aggregated” stuff on the internet for others to see it. Just like a “blog of the blogs” (even if it’s more than that…)

It’s an aggregator of all the stuff you point it to… not only YOUR stuff… well… not necessarly. You could create magazines based on common themed feeds (technology, entertainment, politics and stuff…) and then read it all on your SuprGlu account.

I have pointed mine to *this* site’s feed and I plan to point it to thedarkside.it, my del.icio.us and my flickr account as soon as they will be operative. Take a look at it here.

I still don’t know if I’m going to make other accounts to create “magazines”… because content is usually copyrighted and you cannot republish it (nor using it to generate revenues). Technically speaking it would be “quoting” because you can see the source of the posts (with hyperlinks on the sidebar too).

Anyway point 4 and 5 of the “terms of service” are quite clear:

  • You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).
  • You must have permission to syndicate all content you specify in the Service.
